Robert Louis Stevenson

Realtors are always talking about commission and how much they made by sales volume. Some boast their success and earnings while others focus on their clients. Regardless of your attitude, it’s important to understand in real estate that you shouldn’t judge your success on your earnings and commission, but in your number of referrals and new clients!

Working in a service industry means that you are here to be full service for people in need. And their need is real estate. Your need is more clients. It’s a win-win situation! So be the proactive agent, help your clients anytime and with everything, express your professional opinion, explain to them the housing market situation, and assist them if they become discouraged with the buying and selling process.

Which is why you shouldn’t judge each day by your amount of commissions, but by the amount of clients and referrals you receive. Because with more clients/referrals comes more commissions, and that is something everyone can be happy about!
