We’ve all heard this saying before, but for a realtor it really hits home. So many times do we have sellers who “think” their home is worth top dollar even though they haven’t put any upgrades into it or haven’t had anything inspected yet. Now you don’t have to go replacing the whole roof, or remodeling the entire bathroom because those things can get costly, but explaining to your clients that cleaning, replacing carpet and appliances can do so much for your sales price.
This quote could also be used for clients who think that you will discount your 3% for a closing. You need to make it a point to tell them “you get what you pay for” implying that if they use you for the sale, you are getting a top notch professional who will negotiate the most for their property.
